I need an Encounter! (Tonight at 7 pm)

I am sitting here in my study preparing for Encounter tonight. The Spirit of God has been moving in the life of our church like I can’t remember in a long time! The spiritual intensity is rising around newhope. I love it and I can't contain myself. So, you’re just going to have to accept that I cannot be casual these days. I believe God has so much in store for each of us and all of us, my anticipation of His prevailing presence is peaking and I can’t be calm.

And while I have enjoyed an Encounter with God this morning in my message prep time, there is something more profound and powerful when I Encounter God with you. That is why I can’t wait for 7 pm to roll around. Encounter is our mid-week worship for believers. The intensity and passion are "off the chart."

Until then, here is a verse to ponder this afternoon:

I am the LORD, your Holy One, Israel's Creator, your King." This is what the LORD says — He who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.” (Isaiah 43:15 – 21)

Bring it on, Lord God. We are ready for the new things you have in store for us!
