Jesus Did What?

This Sunday we begin our new series titled, "Jesus Did What?" It is going to be off the hook. I can't wait to study the amazing miracles of Jesus! This Sunday, we look at Jesus healing this guy and then connecting it to faith the size of a Mustard Seed!

There's a story that's been told about Charles Spurgeon, the great 19th century revival preacher that goes something like this: He was approached by a young preacher who said, "Mr. Spurgeon, when you preach the gospel, hundreds come forward to be saved. But when I preach the very same gospel, hardly anyone comes forward to be saved. Why is that?"

Spurgeon said, "Young man, you really don't expect people to be saved every time you preach, do you?" Taken aback, the young man, "Well, no sir, I don't."

The great preacher said, "Then that's why people aren't saved when you preach."

I love that! Great faith doesn't just improve the quality of your life; that's part of it, but not all of it. Great faith also improves the quality of life. Through faith, God blesses our lives personally. Through faith, God also blesses other people's lives as well — if your faith is lacking, you can't help other people experience the hand of God in their lives.
