    Thanksgiving in the Psalms...

While history may indicate the first Thanksgiving to have taken place in Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1621, scripture records a long legacy of expressing thankfulness. Consider these passages from the book of Psalms.

    Psalm 42:4
These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go with the multitude, leading the procession to the house of God, with shouts of joy and thanksgiving among the festive throng.

    Psalm 69:30
I will praise God's name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving.

    Psalm 95:2
Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.

    Psalm 100:4
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.

    Psalm 147:7

Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; make music to our God on the harp.

I pray you find yourself gripped with thanksgiving this week and throughout the year. Happy Thanksgiving - I hope to see you Sunday for a special Thanksgiving Celebration as we worship God and express our thanks!
